UiPath's Cartographer agent interviews staff to map how businesses run

UiPath has released an artificial intelligence (AI) agent that interviews employees about how they do their jobs in a bid to give AI agents the institutional knowledge that most enterprises have never written down.
Dubbed Cartographer, the agent produces what UiPath calls a map of work, a governed record of how a business process runs, including the exceptions and judgement calls that seldom make it into official documents.
Speaking to Asia-Pacific media at a virtual briefing after his keynote at the company’s annual Fusion conference in Las Vegas, UiPath co-founder and CEO Daniel Dines compared AI agents with new hires.
