Unlike traditional generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) applications that primarily produce content, agentic systems interact with tools – namely application programming interfaces (APIs), retrieve corporate information and execute changes in enterprise systems – opening unprecedented opportunities for automation.
This evolution from passive content generation to active and autonomous participation marks a fundamental shift in the role of AI in the enterprise.
