Redstor rallies to fight ransomware

Ransomware attacks are becoming more prevalent and end users within small-to-medium business segment and education are particularly susceptible. It is for this reason that Redstor has embarked on an online campaign to raise awareness around the severity of this security issue and what is the best way to protect assets.
In a three-day customer survey taken late 2016 in the UK, Redstor found that over 100 end-users, within the last six to eight weeks, had to recover from ransomware attacks.
Victims were mainly from schools and small-to-medium businesses and enterprises, and, according to Redstor the education industry showed the highest ransomware infection rates in 2016.
